Kaw, the Accelerant Detection Dog

    CSFI, Inc. is excited to announce the purchase and use of a black Lab as an accelerant detection K-9. The trainer has trained dogs for Homeland Security, the Armed Forces, many state and local Police Departments as well as having provided dog/handler teams for bomb and narcotics detection to NASCAR. The trainer has been in law enforcement since 1975 and the Special Forces unit of the U.S. Army. He is fully certified and accredited in 3 countries. He supplied trained dogs to LAPD and the Vegas PD.

    KAW and I are fully certified and accredited as an accelerant detection team. KAW is certified to be 95% accurate in his findings in comparison to mechanical and/or electronic devices which are many times accurate only 50% of the time. This will reduce your costs significantly in both time spent on the scene and useless samples. It will also reduce lag time between the investigation and awaiting the results of incorrect samples. There is no extra charge for the use of our K-9. This is an ongoing service of Central States Fire Investigations at NO CHARGE TO YOU OR YOUR COMPANY.

    This K-9 has a 0% failure rate as of April 30, 2007!

    A further note: Detection dogs have 220,000,000 scent cells in their noses while humans have 20,000,000! Think of that the next time you pick up a sample and smell it for accelerants! In addition, the dog can discriminate between ordinary fire debris odors and true accelerants, especially styrene and terpenes which set off electronic detectors more often than not.
